from the amp, and it doesn't look like its 1ohm stable so that's the best that you can get. A good sealed enclosure will give you clean, tight bass, but it won't give you volume. You're making a trade-off between SPL and sound quality. When you say it doesn't hit hard enough, do you mean it's sloppy or do you mean it's just not loud enough? If you just want it to be louder, look into buying an amp that can put 500W into a 2ohm load. That probably means either a 1ohm stable 2-channel amp, or a mono sub amp. You can also change to a ported box, but the sound might be slightly sloppier. If your amp has a crossover, turn it on. Also play around with the orientation of the box in the trunk. That can make a pretty big difference.
